The most important game in the last round took place in Canberra between third ranked Bendigo Spirit (9-4) and eighth ranked Canberra Capitals (1-13) on Wednesday night. Bendigo Spirit was defeated by Canberra Capitals in a tough game on the road 85-92. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international swingman Jade Melbourne (176-2002, college: Arizona St.) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 18 points, 6 rebounds, 11 assists and 5 steals. New Zealand guard Shanice Swain (165-1993) contributed with 22 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Four Canberra Capitals players scored in double figures.
