Rather expected game when 7th ranked Adelaide Lightning (5-14) was crushed at home by fifth ranked Perth Lynx (10-8) 108-82 on Thursday. Perth Lynx outrebounded Adelaide Lightning 46-32 including a 34-21 advantage in defensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was the former international guard Samantha Whitcomb (178-1988, college: Washington) who scored 15 points, 8 rebounds and 8 assists. The former international power forward Lauren Scherf (196-1996) chipped in 18 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field).
