There was a surprise result in Terrigal where Sharks beat Crusaders 79-65 on Saturday. The best player for the winners was forward Emily Garland (178-2003) who scored 32 points and 8 rebounds. Forward Madeleine Norris (188-1998) chipped in 13 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. Four Sharks players scored in double figures. Swingman Sara Matthews (174-2002) produced a double-double by scoring 17 points, 10 rebounds and 6 assists and guard Darneka Rowe (174-1993) added 14 points and 6 rebounds respectively for the hosts. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Sharks will meet at home Bulls in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Crusaders will play against Nationals and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
