Another interesting game for Rockets (1-0) which played in Gawler against Lions (0-1). Rockets had an easy win 80-63. It was a great evening for the former international guard Lauren Mansfield (170-1989, college: Iowa St.) who led her team to a victory scoring 24 points, 9 rebounds and 8 assists. Center Tayla Corrigan (190-1993, college: Idaho) helped adding 14 points. Rockets' coach allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. The best for the losing side was American guard Jaedyn De La Cerda (175, college: N.Mexico) with 20 points, 7 rebounds, 8 assists and 4 steals and the other American import center Imani Guy (193, college: Marian, IN, agency: Basket Promotion Agency) scored 25 points and 8 rebounds. Rockets will play against Eagles in Goodwood in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Lions will play on the road against Warriors (#10) in Flinders Park and hope to get finally their first victory.
