Regular Season Round 3: Sutherland S. - Inner WB 85-94

There was a surprise result when Bulls (2-1) defeated on the road Sutherland Sharks (2-1) 94-85 on Saturday. Bulls outrebounded Sutherland Sharks 40-29 including a 35-24 advantage in defensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was naturalized New Zealand guard Tony Tolovae (196-1992) who scored 24 points and 9 rebounds. Canadian guard Blake Morrow (193-1996, college: Southeastern) chipped in 23 points and 4 assists. Morrow is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top summer league for players who want to play basketball overseas. Bulls' coach used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to get some rest. At the other side the best for losing team was guard Lochlan Hutchison (188-1999, agency: BIG) who recorded 24 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists and Geoffrey Gerlach added 12 points and 9 rebounds respectively. Four Bulls and five Sutherland Sharks players scored in double figures. Bulls will meet at home Bandits (#6) in the next round. Sutherland Sharks will play against Canberra Gunners (#12) and hope to secure a win.
