Regular Season Round 4: Warwick S. - Kalamunda ES 104-75

Date: April 1, 2023
Everything could happen in Perth at the game between two tied teams. Both top-ranked Senators and bottom-ranked Suns had identical 0-0 record. This time Senators used a home court advantage and outscored the opponent from Kalamunda 104-75 on Saturday night. It was a key game for the second position in the league. Senators made 17-of-22 free shots (77.3 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of guard Ethan Elliott (190-2004, college: Trinity Baptist) who helped to win the game recording 23 points and 6 assists and forward Caleb Davis (206-1995, college: SVSU) who added 18 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists during the contest. At the losing side the former international guard Reece Maxwell (185-1990) responded with 15 points and 8 rebounds and New Zealand guard Joe Cook-Green (185-1997, college: TxWes) scored 16 points. Four Suns players scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Senators (1-0) left bottom position moving up to second place, which they share with 11 other teams. Loser Suns still closes the standings with one game lost. They share the position with 15 other teams. Senators will meet league's leader Hawks in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Suns will play against Redbacks (#5) and look forward to get finally their first victory.
