There was a surprise result in Gold Coast where eighth ranked Dolphins (3-2) beat one of their biggest challengers Rollers (3-2) 74-63 on Friday. Dolphins had a 43-26 advantage in offensive rebounds. Worth to mention a great performance of forward Shaneice Swain (175-2003) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 25 points, 15 rebounds, 9 assists and 4 steals and New Zealand forward Penina Davidson (190-1995, college: California) who added 20 points and 20 rebounds during the contest. Four Dolphins players scored in double figures. American guard Ariana Moorer (172-1991, college: Virginia) responded with a double-double by scoring 31 points, 15 rebounds, 4 assists and 7 steals and guard Riley Evans (178, college: Seattle Pacific) scored 14 points and 6 rebounds.
