Regular Season Round 3: Sharks - Tuatara 97-77

The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of Huskies (3-1) in Southland on Friday night. Visitors were rolled over by Sharks (2-1) 97-77. Sharks outrebounded Huskies 47-25 including a 34-17 advantage in defensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. It was a great evening for American guard Jeremy Kendle (186-1988, college: Bellarmine) who led his team to a victory scoring 19 points, 5 rebounds and 9 assists. Jamaican center Romaro Gill (218-1994, college: Seton Hall) helped adding 18 points and 10 rebounds (perfect from the field making all six shots). Five Sharks players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was Australian swingman Cameron Gliddon (197-1989, college: CUI) with 31 points and 8 rebounds and Australian guard Jarrad Weeks (183-1989) produced a double-double by scoring 16 points, 10 rebounds and 8 assists. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Sharks are looking forward to face Hawks (#5) in Tamatea in the next round. Huskies will play on the road against Bulls in Pukekohe and are hoping to win this game.
