Regular Season Round 10: Nunawading S. - Kilsyth C. 108-92

Very important is a road loss of second ranked Kilsyth Cobras (4-2) against ninth ranked Spectres (3-2) on Saturday night. Visiting Kilsyth Cobras were defeated by Spectres in East Burwood 108-92. Spectres dominated down low during the game scoring 74 of its points in the paint compared to Kilsyth Cobras' 36. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists. American forward Will Carius (201, college: W.Illinois) scored 30 points and 7 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and forward Josh Tomasi (208-2000, college: St.Cloud St.) chipped in 22 points and 7 rebounds (perfect from the field making all nine shots !!!) during the contest. At the losing side guard Jamie Ahale (196-1999, college: UIC) responded with 25 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists and guard Adrian Tomada (-1995) scored 23 points and 6 assists. Four Kilsyth Cobras players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Spectres moved-up to fourth place, which they share with 7 other teams. Kilsyth Cobras at the other side dropped to the third position with two games lost. They share it with 4 other teams. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
