Very expected game when 17th ranked Waverley Falcons (1-4) lost to thirteenth ranked Sabres (3-3) in Cheltenham 82-97 on Saturday. Sabres dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to Waverley Falcons' 30. Naturalized American guard CJ Asuncion-Byrd (194-1996, college: LeMoyne) notched 30 points and 7 rebounds to lead the effort and guard Ben Ayre (188-1995, college: Newman) supported him with 17 points, 9 rebounds and 6 assists. Even a double-double of 21 points and 10 rebounds by American forward Dillon Stith (201-1992, college: St.Vincent) did not help to save the game for Waverley Falcons. Forward Tristan Forsyth (208-1998, college: CBU) added 10 points and 9 rebounds for lost side. Four Waverley Falcons players scored in double figures.
