Very predictable result in Loganholme where third ranked Thunder (5-1) outscored 12th ranked Roar (2-4) 111-87 on Friday. They outrebounded Roar 47-31 including 16 on the offensive glass. Thunder looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists comparing to just 13 passes made by Roar's players. South Sudanese forward Majok Deng (205-1993, college: ULM) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 39 points (!!!) and 11 rebounds for the winners and naturalized Danish guard Rasmus Bach (193-1995, college: Fort Lewis) chipped in 21 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. At the losing side American forward Jaylen Key (203-1997, college: New Orleans, agency: One Motive Sports) responded with 23 points and 8 rebounds and point guard Nelson Larkins (180-1996) scored 25 points. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Thunder have a solid series of four victories in a row. They moved-up to second place, which they share with 3 other teams. Loser Roar dropped to the tenth position with four games lost. They share it with 4 other teams. Thunder will meet Rip City (#8) in the next round which should be theoretically another easy game. Roar will play against Northside Wizards in Taigum and hope to secure a win.
