Not a big story in a game when 13th ranked Panthers (2-7) lost to ninth ranked Lady Bandits (5-3) in Albury 68-86 on Saturday. Lady Bandits shot the lights out from three sinking 18 long-distance shots on high 56.3 percentage. Elizabeth Murphy notched 28 points and 6 rebounds to lead the effort and guard Emma Mahady (179-1992, college: California, PA) supported her with 12 points, 6 rebounds and 8 assists. Four Lady Bandits players scored in double figures. Lady Bandits' coach used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Even 23 points and 5 rebounds by forward Megan Jefferson (190, college: Hawaii) did not help to save the game for Panthers. Forward Chloe Williams (190-2005, college: Tulsa) added 15 points and 7 rebounds for lost side. Lady Bandits moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Bankstown B. and Maitland M. Panthers lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the thirteenth position with seven games lost. Lady Bandits will meet Spireds (#16) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Panthers will play against Spireds and hope to secure a win.
