There was an upset in Broadmeadow where 3rd placed Sydney City Comets (6-2) were defeated by tenth ranked Falcons (4-3) 89-74 on Saturday. Falcons forced 21 Sydney City Comets turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Falcons made 8 blocks. Forward Myles Cherry (203-1998, college: Lafayette) stepped up and scored 21 points and 9 rebounds for the winners and naturalized British forward Ryan Beisty (200-1995, college: Regis Univ.) chipped in 13 points, 11 rebounds, 7 assists and 5 steals. At the losing side center Johnny Crnogorac (216-1995, college: UTRGV, agency: Haylett Sports) responded with 13 points and 7 rebounds and guard Isaiah Oste-Pinder (185-2002) scored 12 points and 7 rebounds.
