There was no surprise when 11th ranked Goldfields G. (1-5) lost to seventh ranked Flames (3-3) in Rockingham 68-74 on Saturday. However just six-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. Flames made 19-of-22 free shots (86.4 percent) during the game. They also forced 28 Goldfields G. turnovers. Guard Tayah Burrows (179-2001) notched 21 points, 9 rebounds and 7 assists to lead the effort and Opal Mader (-1997) supported her with 16 points. Four Flames players scored in double figures. Flames' coach Tom Knowles used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.
