Regular Season Round 11: Camberwell - Sherbrooke S. 71-93

Everything went according to plan in Melbourne where third ranked Suns (6-2) outscored 5th ranked Camberwell (3-5) 93-71 on Saturday. Suns looked well-organized offensively handing out 31 assists comparing to just 18 passes made by Camberwell's players. The best player for the winners was New Zealand forward Alicia Carline (190-1993, college: Portland St.) who had a double-double by scoring 17 points and 11 rebounds. Tenaya Sooalo chipped in 17 points and 8 assists. Five Suns players scored in double figures. Suns' coach Chad Burton felt very confident using entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Victoria Sumskas produced a double-double by scoring 10 points and 12 rebounds and Andrea Belmonte added 9 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists respectively for the hosts. The victory was the fifth consecutive win for Suns. They moved-up to second place, which they share with 6 other teams. Camberwell lost their third game in a row.
