Very expected game in Terrigal where 10th ranked Crusaders (4-7) were defeated by second ranked BA CoE (8-1) 76-64 on Sunday. BA CoE dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to Crusaders' 26 and made 20-of-22 free shots (90.9 percent) during the game. BA CoE forced 21 Crusaders turnovers and outrebounded them 45-30 including a 18-7 advantage in offensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was center Isla Juffermans (191-2005) who had a double-double by scoring 17 points and 10 rebounds. Forward Monique Bobongie (178-2006) chipped in a double-double by scoring 10 points and 12 rebounds. Four BA CoE players scored in double figures. Guard Jasmine Forcadilla (173-1997, college: St.Mary's, CA) produced 25 points and 5 rebounds and guard Darneka Rowe (174-1993) added 19 points and 7 rebounds respectively for the hosts. The victory was the third consecutive win for BA CoE. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with Joondalup W. Crusaders lost their fifth game in a row. They keep the tenth place with seven games lost. BA CoE will meet at home Sharks (#6) in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Crusaders will play against Falcons (#3) and hope to secure a win.
