There was an upset in Albury where higher ranked Lady Bandits (6-5) were defeated by fifteenth ranked Hawks (2-8) 78-72 on Saturday. Hawks made 27-of-32 free shots (84.4 percent) during the game. Worth to mention a great performance of guard Ella Dent (170-2002) who helped to win the game recording 26 points and 5 rebounds (went 9 for 9 at the free throw line !!!) and Argentinian center Emilia Garcia Leon (182-1994) who added 11 points and 11 rebounds (went 7 for 7 at the free throw line) during the contest. Four Hawks players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was power forward Ashlee Hannan (193-2001, college: Texas) with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 12 rebounds and guard Emma Mahady (179-1992, college: California, PA) scored 18 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists. Hawks moved-up to fourteenth place, which they share with Casey C. Loser Lady Bandits dropped to the ninth position with five games lost. Hawks will meet at home league's second-placed BA CoE in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Lady Bandits will play against Falcons (#3) where they are definitely not considered as a favorite in this game either.
