Very predictable result when first ranked Wanneroo (9-1) outscored on the road 10th ranked Goldfields G. (2-6) 100-50 on Saturday. Wanneroo dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Goldfields G.'s 18. Wanneroo forced 20 Goldfields G. turnovers and outrebounded them 56-30 including a 41-24 advantage in defensive rebounds. Wanneroo looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists comparing to just 6 passes made by Goldfields G.'s players. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Wanneroo made 7 blocks. Worth to mention a great performance of forward Teige Morrell who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 28 points, 14 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 blocks and American guard Robbi Ryan (175-1997, college: Arizona St.) who added 24 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists during the contest. Five Wanneroo players scored in double figures. Wanneroo's coach felt very confident using 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The best for the losing side was forward Regan Turnour-McCarty (186-1997) with 31 points and 5 rebounds and Aimee Borchet scored 7 points and 12 rebounds.
