No shocking result in a game in Bendigo where top-ranked Lady Braves (9-0) defeated 11th ranked Rangers (4-6) 91-82 on Saturday. They outrebounded Rangers 45-31 including 31 on the defensive glass. Lady Braves looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of Meg Mccarthy who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 26 points and 13 rebounds and the former international guard Kelly Wilson (170-1984) who added 11 points, 10 rebounds and 15 assists during the contest. The best for the losing side was center Nyadiew Puoch (189-2004) with 22 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists and American guard Amber Smith (180-1998, college: Missouri) produced a double-double by scoring 14 points and 10 rebounds. Five Lady Braves and four Rangers players scored in double figures. Rangers' coach let to play ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Lady Braves have an impressive nine-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 9-0 record. Rangers lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the eighth place with six games lost. They share the position with Woodville W.. Lady Braves will meet Diamond Valley Eagles (#8) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Rangers will play against Spectres and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
