Very expected game when 18th ranked Cavaliers (2-8) lost to second ranked Frankston Blues (8-2) in Cranbourne 78-90 on Sunday. Frankston Blues made 23-of-25 free shots (92.0 percent) during the game, while Cavaliers only scored four points from the stripe. They outrebounded Cavaliers 42-26 including a 19-4 advantage in offensive rebounds. Forward Daniel Trist (206-1992, college: Lafayette) nailed a double-double by scoring 25 points and 18 rebounds (was perfect 11-for-11 from the free throw line !!!) for the winning side and guard Lachlan Barker (188-1996) accounted for 22 points. Senegalese center Sidy Djitte (208-1994, college: Clemson, agency: Helping Ballers) came up with a double-double by scoring 10 points, 18 rebounds and 4 assists and point guard Mason Perry (183-2002, college: Lindsey Wilson) added 16 points and 4 assists respectively for Cavaliers in the defeat. Four Frankston Blues and five Cavaliers players scored in double figures. The victory was the third consecutive win for Frankston Blues.
