Regular Season Round 7: Airs - Bulls 71-78

There was no surprise in New Plymouth where 8th ranked Airs (2-6) were defeated by fourth ranked Bulls (5-3) 78-71 on Friday. It was a great evening for American guard Rickey McGill (188-1997, college: Iona) who led his team to a victory scoring 20 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. The former international forward Daniel Fotu (203-1999, college: St.Mary's, CA) helped adding 20 points. At the losing side American swingman Anthony Hilliard (195-1986, college: ECSU) responded with 19 points and 5 rebounds and forward Scott Telfer (196-1998) scored 17 points. Bulls maintains fourth place with 5-3 record. Airs lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the bottom position with six games lost. Bulls will meet at home Giants (#8) in the next round. Airs will play against the league's second-placed Rams and hope to secure a win.
