There was a surprise result in Sippy Downs where twelfth ranked Rip City (4-4) beat higher ranked Brisbane Spartans (5-6) 104-91 on Saturday. Rip City forced 25 Brisbane Spartans turnovers. The best player for the winners was naturalized Sudanese forward Kouat Noi (201-1997, college: TCU) who had a double-double by scoring 23 points and 18 rebounds. American guard Brandon Wood (188-1989, college: Michigan St., agency: Interperformances) chipped in 32 points and 7 rebounds. Four Rip City players scored in double figures.
