Everything went according to plan in Sutherland where third ranked Comets (10-2) won against 7th ranked Sharks (7-5) 91-85 on Sunday. Comets made 23-of-30 free shots (76.7 percent) during the game. The former international point guard Shyla Heal (167-2001, agency: LBM Management) stepped up and scored 41 points (!!!) and 7 assists for the winners and power forward Jada Crawshaw (184-2004) chipped in 21 points and 7 rebounds. At the losing side the former international guard Lauren Nicholson (183-1993, college: St.Mary's, CA) responded with 43 points (!!!) and 5 assists and forward Madeleine Norris (188-1998) scored 21 points. The victory was the fourth consecutive win for Comets. Despite that victory Comets went down to fourth position due to points difference. Loser Sharks dropped to the sixth place with five games lost. They share the position with Knox R. and Maitland M.. Comets will meet league's second-placed BA CoE in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Sharks will play against Panthers (#13) and hope to secure a win.
