Very expected game when bottom-ranked Lions (0-11) were smashed by sixth ranked Rockets (6-5) in Adelaide 95-64 on Saturday. Rockets looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Guard Brooke Basham (178-1997) notched 31 points, 8 rebounds, 7 assists and 5 steals to lead the effort and center Tayla Corrigan (190-1993, college: Idaho) supported her with 14 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists. Four Rockets players scored in double figures. Even a double-double of 22 points and 15 rebounds by American center Imani Guy (193, college: Marian, IN, agency: Basket Promotion Agency) did not help to save the game for Lions. Forward Tiahna Sears (178, college: N.Alabama) added 18 points and 6 rebounds for the guests. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Rockets have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain sixth position with 6-5 record, which they share with 3 other teams. Loser Lions still closes the standings with 11 games lost. Rockets will meet league's leader Sabres in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game.
