Regular Season Round 20: Hills H. - Hornsby S. 93-61
Date: May 27, 2023
Everything went according to plan in Baulkham Hills where seventh ranked Hills Hornets (8-5) outleveled bottom-ranked Spiders (0-14) 93-61 on Saturday. They outrebounded Spiders 51-28 including a 34-20 advantage in defensive rebounds. Hills Hornets looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists comparing to just 10 passes made by Spiders' players. Worth to mention a great performance of guard Lachlan Charlton (192-2000) who helped to win the game recording 15 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists and American forward Shawn Montague (198-1997, college: SNHU) who added 16 points and 6 rebounds during the contest. Five Hills Hornets players scored in double figures. Forward Patrick Fraser (195-2001, college: UNK) responded with 23 points and 5 rebounds and Samoan-Lebanese guard Shareef Saipaia (-1999) scored 16 points. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Hills Hornets maintains seventh position with 8-5 record. Loser Spiders still closes the standings with 14 games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
