Rather predictable result in Greenacres where fifth ranked North Adelaide Rockets (7-4) beat 9th ranked Central District Lions (2-9) 113-96 on Saturday. North Adelaide Rockets dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to Central District Lions' 42. They outrebounded Central District Lions 47-33 including a 19-8 advantage in offensive rebounds. North Adelaide Rockets shot the lights out from three sinking 13 long-distance shots on high 54.2 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Keouvion McCalop (203-1994, college: Dakota Bottin.) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 30 points and 15 rebounds and the other American import guard Durrell McDonald (188, college: Mercyhurst) who added 27 points, 6 rebounds, 8 assists and 5 steals during the contest. Center Ngor Nai (208-2000, college: Baton Rouge) responded with a double-double by scoring 22 points, 11 rebounds and 4 blocks and American swingman Branden Jenkins (196-1994, college: TxWes) scored 24 points and 4 assists. Five North Adelaide Rockets and four Central District Lions players scored in double figures. North Adelaide Rockets have an impressive five-game winning streak. They moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Mackay M. and Kalamunda ES. Loser Central District Lions keep the ninth position with nine games lost. They share it with SW Slammers. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
