Big V top team - Thunder (12-1) managed to deliver another win on Friday. This time they beat sixteenth ranked Rockets (1-9) in Rockhampton 108-97. Thunder looked well-organized offensively handing out 33 assists. South Sudanese forward Majok Deng (205-1993, college: ULM) nailed 31 points and 7 rebounds for the winning side and naturalized Danish guard Rasmus Bach (193-1995, college: Fort Lewis) accounted for 23 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists. Power forward Damian Prgomet (208-1996, college: SW Baptist) came up with 34 points (!!!), 9 rebounds and 4 assists and naturalized South Sudanese forward Chier Maker (203-1995, college: Idaho St.) added 18 points and 12 rebounds respectively for Rockets in the defeat. Four Thunder and five Rockets players scored in double figures. Thunder have an impressive series of eleven victories in a row. They maintain first place with 12-1 record. Loser Rockets keep the sixteenth position with nine games lost. Thunder will meet Mackay Meteors (#5) on the road in the next round. Rockets will have a break next round.
