Seventh-ranked Lady Bandits (7-7) gave a tough game to second ranked BA CoE (12-2) in Albury on Saturday. The visitors from Canberra managed to secure only three-point victory 74-71. However their fans expected much easier game. The best player for the winners was center Isla Juffermans (191-2005) who had a double-double by scoring 14 points and 13 rebounds. Power forward Jayda Clark (183-2005) chipped in 16 points and 8 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was American guard Mikayla Pivec (178-1997, college: Oregon St.) who recorded a double-double by scoring 17 points, 11 rebounds and 6 assists and forward Malury Bates (190, agency: Shark Sports Management) added 17 points and 7 rebounds respectively. Four BA CoE and five Lady Bandits players scored in double figures. BA CoE have an impressive series of seven victories in a row. They maintain second place with 12-2 record having just two points less than leader Wyndham D., which they share with Newcastle F. Loser Lady Bandits dropped to the eighth position with seven games lost. They share it with Knox R.. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
