Very expected game in Launceston where 12th ranked Tornadoes (5-9) were defeated by fourth ranked Frankston Blues (10-4) 77-65 on Saturday. The best player for the winners was forward Chloe Bibby (185-1998, college: Maryland) who scored 35 points (!!!). Forward Louise Brown (189-1995, college: Tennessee) chipped in a double-double by scoring 15 points and 18 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was forward Macey Crawford (178-2005) who recorded 13 points and 7 rebounds and swingman Micah Simpson (175-2002) added 14 points respectively. Four Tornadoes players scored in double figures. The victory was the fourth consecutive win for Frankston Blues. They moved-up to third place. Loser Tornadoes dropped to the ninth position with nine games lost. They share it with East Perth E. and Hobart C.. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
