No shocking result in a game when fifth ranked Geelong Supercats (9-4) outleveled at home 8th ranked Knox Raiders (7-7) 82-47 on Saturday. Geelong Supercats forced 21 Knox Raiders turnovers. The best player for the winners was guard Sarah Elsworthy (171-1998) who scored 22 points and 8 rebounds. Polish Agnieszka Skobel (180-1989) chipped in 15 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists. Five Geelong Supercats players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was forward Alicia Froling (190-1996, college: SMU) who recorded a double-double by scoring 18 points and 15 rebounds (went 8 for 8 at the free throw line) and power forward Kiera Rowe (183-1999) added 11 points respectively. Knox Raiders' coach gave up on the game allowing to play ten players seeing no chance for a win. Geelong Supercats moved-up to third place, which they share with Logan T. and Sherbrooke S. Knox Raiders lost their fifth game in a row. They keep the eighth position with seven games lost. They share it with Albury LB. Geelong Supercats will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Knox Raiders will play against Spectres (#8) in East Burwood and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
