Regular Season Round 15: Sturt S. - N.Adelaide R. 91-49
Date: June 3, 2023
Not a big story in a game in Pasadena where 6th ranked Rockets (6-6) were rolled over by leader Sabres (12-0) 91-49 on Saturday. Sabres forced 22 Rockets turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists comparing to just 5 passes made by Rockets' players. The best player for the winners was power forward Tayla Brazel (182-2004) who scored 20 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists. Canadian forward Mikayla Williams (183, college: USF) chipped in a double-double by scoring 18 points and 13 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was American center Erica Meyer (190-1997, college: Santa Clara) who recorded 11 points and 8 rebounds and center Tayla Corrigan (190-1993, college: Idaho) added 10 points and 8 rebounds respectively. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Sabres have an impressive series of twelve victories in a row. They maintain first place with 12-0 record. Loser Rockets keep the sixth position with six games lost. They share it with Forestville E.. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
