Regular Season Round 22: Bendigo B. - Waverley F. 80-97

There was no surprise when 14th ranked Bendigo Braves (6-8) lost at home to eighth ranked Waverley Falcons (8-6) 97-80 on Saturday. American forward Dillon Stith (201-1992, college: St.Vincent) notched a double-double by scoring 30 points, 15 rebounds and 4 assists (made all of his nine free throws !!!) to lead the effort and the other American import point guard AJ Harris (175-1996, college: NM State) supported him with 13 points, 6 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 steals. Even 26 points and 8 rebounds by naturalized South Sudanese forward Lat Mayen (206-1998, college: Nebraska) did not help to save the game for Bendigo Braves. American guard Christiaan Jones (196-1998, college: Stetson) added 11 points and 9 rebounds for lost side. Four Waverley Falcons and five Bendigo Braves players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Waverley Falcons moved-up to fourth place, which they share with 4 other teams. Loser Bendigo Braves dropped to the tenth position with eight games lost. They share it with 4 other teams. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
