Leading Bearcats (9-3) recorded its third loss in Woodville. Hosts were defeated by seventh ranked Norwood Flames (5-7) 102-87. It ended at the same time the eight-game winning streak of Bearcats. Norwood Flames forced 20 Bearcats turnovers. Walter Mcbride scored 25 points, 5 rebounds, 8 assists and 4 steals to lead the charge for the winners and New Zealand point guard Jack Stanwix (183-2000) chipped in 26 points and 4 steals during the contest. At the losing side the former international swingman Anthony Drmic (198-1992, college: Boise St.) responded with 26 points and 9 rebounds and Lachlan Olbrich (208-2003, college: UC Riverside) scored 23 points and 7 rebounds. Four Norwood Flames and five Bearcats players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Norwood Flames maintains seventh position with 5-7 record. Bearcats at the other side still keep top place with three games lost. They share the position with Forestville E. and Sturt S.. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
