Sabres dominated down low during the game scoring 70 of its points in the paint compared to Tigers' 46. They outrebounded Tigers 45-26 including a 31-16 advantage in defensive rebounds. Forward Georgia Pineau (185-1997, college: Boston Coll.) fired 16 points and 5 assists for the winners. Naturalized Turkish guard Funda Nakkasoglu (173-1995, college: Florida) chipped in 20 points. Five Sabres players scored in double figures.
