There was no surprise in Floreat where 12th ranked Redbacks (1-12) were outplayed by sixth ranked Hawks (10-5) 104-56 on Friday. Hawks dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Redbacks' 32. Hawks forced 25 Redbacks turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 30 assists comparing to just 16 passes made by Redbacks' players. Forward Emma Clarke (186-2000, college: Colorado) fired a double-double by scoring 28 points, 10 rebounds and 6 assists for the winners. Power forward Ashleigh Isenbarger (188-1997) chipped in a double-double by scoring 17 points, 9 rebounds, 11 assists and 4 blocks (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field). Four Hawks players scored in double figures. Dajah Daniel produced 20 points and 7 rebounds and power forward Shenae Hartree (184-2003) added 10 points and 11 rebounds respectively for lost side. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Hawks moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Sutherland S. and Mandurah M. Redbacks lost seventh consecutive game. They dropped to the tenth position with 12 games lost. They share it with C.Districts L. and SC Phoenix. Hawks will meet Slammers (#13) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Redbacks will play against Suns and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
