Very predictable result in Gold Coast where second ranked Salties (10-4) defeated 7th ranked Rollers (7-7) 77-73 on Friday. Forward Chelsea Brook (188-1998) fired 31 points and 6 rebounds (on 12-of-15 shooting from the field) for the winners. American forward Erin Bollmann (180-1994, college: SEMO) chipped in 13 points, 7 rebounds and 8 assists. American guard Ariana Moorer (172-1991, college: Virginia) produced a double-double by scoring 24 points, 11 rebounds and 8 assists and her fellow American import forward Cate Reese (188, college: Arizona) added 21 points and 6 rebounds (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) respectively for lost side. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Despite that victory Salties went down to third position due to points difference, which they share with Logan T. and Geelong LS. Loser Rollers dropped to the eleventh place with seven games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
