Very predictable result in Mt Gambier where fifth ranked Mount Gambier Pioneers (11-4) defeated 11th ranked Diamond Valley Eagles (8-8) 82-75 on Friday. Mount Gambier Pioneers outrebounded Diamond Valley Eagles 43-32 including 33 on the defensive glass. Guard Miela Goodchild (178-2000, college: Duke) fired 24 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. American forward Haliegh Reinoehl (188-1998, college: Akron) chipped in 13 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists. Four Mount Gambier Pioneers players scored in double figures.
