Regular Season Round 10: Sharks - Airs 93-103

There was an upset in Southland where higher ranked Sharks (5-7) were defeated by bottom-ranked Airs (3-8) 103-93 on Saturday. American guard Kendrick Ray (188-1994, college: KSU) scored 32 points and 5 assists to lead the charge for the winners and guard Carlin Davison (196-2003) chipped in 20 points, 7 rebounds, 4 assists and 7 steals during the contest. Four Airs players scored in double figures. At the losing side American guard Jeremy Kendle (186-1988, college: Bellarmine) responded with 45 points (!!!) and 7 assists and his fellow American import forward Josh Cunningham (203-1996, college: Dayton) scored 18 points and 8 rebounds. Sharks' coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Airs maintains tenth position with 3-8 record. Loser Sharks keep the sixth place with seven games lost. Airs will meet higher ranked Saints (#5) in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Sharks will play against Bulls in Pukekohe and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
