Very predictable result when tenth ranked Bruins (7-8) won against 15th ranked Hills Hornets (2-13) in Baulkham Hills 80-64 on Saturday. Kiahna Davis nailed a double-double by scoring 20 points and 12 rebounds for the winning side and Abbey Vallance accounted for 17 points and 6 rebounds. Kelsey Curtin came up with 23 points and 5 rebounds and guard Cassandra Pentney (169-1994) added 14 points and 8 rebounds respectively for Hills Hornets in the defeat. Four Hills Hornets players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Bruins maintains tenth place with 7-8 record, which they share with Nunawading S. Hills Hornets lost fifth consecutive game. They keep the fifteenth position with 13 games lost. Bruins will meet higher ranked Lady Bandits (#8) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Hills Hornets will play against BA CoE (#4) and hope to secure a win.
