Rather predictable result when fifth ranked Warriors (6-9) won against 7th ranked Camberwell (3-11) in Melbourne 73-58 on Saturday. Warriors forced 19 Camberwell turnovers and outrebounded them 46-33 including 18 on the offensive glass. Canadian guard Haille Nickerson (170, college: Memorial) nailed 17 points and 8 rebounds for the winning side and Ebony Sans accounted for 11 points and 6 rebounds. Five Warriors players scored in double figures. Warriors' coach used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Eleni Valos came up with 20 points and 9 rebounds and Victoria Sumskas added 11 points and 7 rebounds respectively for Camberwell in the defeat. Warriors maintains fifth place with 6-9 record, which they share with Lakeside L. Camberwell lost ninth consecutive game. They keep the seventh position with 11 games lost. They share it with Sunbury J. and Goldfields G.. Warriors will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Camberwell will play against Hume City Broncos (#6) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
