Sabres outrebounded Cavaliers 38-27 including a 15-2 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Forward Georgia Pineau (185-1997, college: Boston Coll.) nailed 24 points and 7 rebounds for the winning side and American guard Brittany Smart (177-1985, college: Cedarville) accounted for 17 points, 5 rebounds and 9 assists. American guard Lauren Van Kleunen (188, college: Marquette) came up with 18 points and 7 rebounds (was perfect 8-for-8 from the free throw line) and the other American import guard Rachel Bell (178, college: Vanderbilt) added 17 points and 7 assists respectively for Cavaliers in the defeat. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Sabres have a solid series of three victories in a row. They moved-up to ninth place, which they share with Diamond VE. Cavaliers lost sixth consecutive game. They keep the nineteenth position with 14 games lost. Sabres will meet higher ranked Hawks (#6) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Cavaliers will play against the league's second-placed Falcons (#2) and will have a slim chance for a victory.
