Everything went according to plan when third ranked Tigers (12-3) outplayed bottom-ranked Slammers (0-13) in Willetton 119-63 on Sunday. Tigers dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to Slammers' 30. Tigers forced 26 Slammers turnovers and outrebounded them 61-37 including a 25-13 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 29 assists comparing to just 15 passes made by Slammers' players. The former international swingman Alexandra Sharp (182-1997, college: Wake Forest) nailed a double-double by scoring 20 points, 16 rebounds and 4 assists for the winning side and guard Amy Jacobs (183, college: La Salle) accounted for 20 points, 10 rebounds and 7 assists. Four Tigers players scored in double figures. Tigers' coach felt very confident using entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Kate Williams came up with 15 points and guard Paris Duffield (171) added 9 points and 7 rebounds respectively for Slammers in the defeat. Tigers have an impressive series of seven victories in a row. They moved-up to second place, which they share with Norths B. and Waverley F. Loser Slammers still closes the standings with 13 games lost. Tigers will meet Giants (#11) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Slammers will play against Suns in Kalamunda and hope to get finally their first victory.
