There was no surprise when 12th ranked Force (4-10) was edged by eighth ranked Dolphins (9-6) in Booval 98-97 on Sunday. Dolphins made 23-of-26 free shots (88.5 percent) during the game. They also forced 20 Force turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. Forward Shaneice Swain (175-2003) nailed 23 points, 5 rebounds and 9 assists for the winning side and American guard Jennifer Coleman (175-1998, college: Navy) accounted for 15 points, 13 rebounds, 9 assists and 5 steals. American power forward Maria Blazejewski (185-1991, college: LSSU) came up with 28 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists and the other American import guard Alison Gorrell (178-1993, college: FAU) added 19 points, 6 rebounds and 9 assists respectively for Force in the defeat. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Dolphins moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Maitland M. Loser Force keeps the twelfth position with ten games lost. Dolphins will meet at home Flames (#9) in the next round. Force will play against Rollers and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
