Regular Season Round 18: Kalamunda ES - SW Slammers 87-63

There was no surprise in Kalamunda where bottom-ranked Slammers (0-15) were outplayed by tenth ranked Suns (5-9) 87-63 on Saturday. Suns looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. The best player for the winners was American guard Natalie Chou (185-1997, college: UCLA) who scored 24 points and 6 rebounds. Naturalized British power forward Samantha Roscoe (194-1995, college: N.Dakota) chipped in 20 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists. Four Suns players scored in double figures. Coach 's team controlled all game and the coach could let to play 10 players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. At the other side the best for losing team was Bree Chalk who recorded 16 points and swingman Alex Ciabattoni (180-1994) added 8 points and 7 rebounds respectively. Suns moved-up to ninth place. Loser Slammers still closes the standings with 15 games lost. They share the position with RedCity R.. Suns will meet at home higher ranked Hawks (#6) in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Slammers will play against Giants (#11) in Kalgoorlie and hope to get finally their first victory.
