Very expected game in Narrabeen where 9th ranked Nationals (8-9) were defeated by first ranked Manly Warringah Sea Eagles (17-2) 75-69 on Saturday. However just six-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. Manly Warringah Sea Eagles forced 20 Nationals turnovers. It was a great evening for guard Bree Delaney (178, college: Fresno St.) who led her team to a victory scoring 21 points and 7 rebounds. Swingman Zoey Miller (177-2003) helped adding 19 points. At the losing side guard Lizzy Tonks (173, college: CSUN) responded with a double-double by scoring 20 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists and forward Isabelle Bourne (188-2000, college: Nebraska) scored 14 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists. The victory was the fourth consecutive win for Manly Warringah Sea Eagles. They maintain first place with 17-2 record. Loser Nationals keep the ninth position with nine games lost. Manly Warringah Sea Eagles will meet at home Spireds (#16) in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Nationals will play against Hills Hornets (#15) and hope to secure a win.
