Regular Season Round 19: Kalamunda ES - Perry Lakes H. 79-92

There was no surprise in Kalamunda where 9th ranked Suns (6-10) were defeated by sixth ranked Hawks (11-7) 92-79 on Saturday. Hawks outrebounded Suns 46-31 including 31 on the defensive glass. It was a great evening for center Madeleine Dennis (186-1997, college: Dayton) who led her team to a victory scoring 25 points and 8 rebounds. Samantha Ashby helped adding 24 points and 4 assists. At the losing side American guard Natalie Chou (185-1997, college: UCLA) responded with 24 points, 6 assists and 4 steals and naturalized British power forward Samantha Roscoe (194-1995, college: N.Dakota) scored 19 points. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Hawks maintains sixth place with 11-7 record, which they share with Maitland M. and Darwin S. Loser Suns dropped to the fourth position with ten games lost. They share it with McKinnon C. and Pakenham W.. Hawks will meet higher ranked Flames (#4) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Suns will play against Giants and hope to secure a win.
