We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams in Gold Coast where 9th ranked Seahawks (8-7) were outplayed by tenth ranked Rollers (9-7) 77-56 on Saturday. Rollers looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists comparing to just 8 passes made by Seahawks' players. The game was dominated by American players. It was a great evening for guard Ariana Moorer (172-1991, college: Virginia) who led her team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 24 points, 12 rebounds, 9 assists and 4 steals. Forward Cate Reese (188, college: Arizona) helped adding 28 points and 6 rebounds. At the losing side guard Alexa Held (178-1999, college: DePaul) responded with 25 points and 6 rebounds and power forward Erin Riley (180, college: Keiser) produced a double-double by scoring 13 points and 10 rebounds. Rollers moved-up to seventh place. Loser Seahawks dropped to the fifth position with seven games lost. They share it with 3 other teams. Rollers will meet Roar (#16) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Seahawks will play against Cyclones (#3) in Rockhampton and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
