The game between closely ranked teams ended with leader Sabres' (15-0) home victory over their biggest opponent Tigers (10-5) 76-57 on Sunday. Sabres forced 21 Tigers turnovers. It was a great evening for Canadian forward Mikayla Williams (183, college: USF) who led her team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 13 rebounds. Guard Nicola Mathews (173, college: App State) helped adding 18 points. At the losing side guard Morgan Yaeger (175-1998, college: Oregon) responded with 18 points and 6 rebounds and American guard Mariah Martin (168, college: CMU, agency: DC Sports) scored 16 points. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The victory was the fifteenth consecutive win for Sabres. They maintain first place with 15-0 record. Loser Tigers keep the second position with five games lost. They share it with Norwood F.. Sabres will meet at home Lions (#10) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Tigers will play against Rockets (#4) in Adelaide and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
