There was an upset when 4th placed Warriors (6-10) were defeated at home by eighth ranked Jets (4-13) 94-79 on Sunday. Jets dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Warriors' 38. It was a great evening for forward Victoria Ikenasio (185, college: St.Peter's) who led her team to a victory scoring 21 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field). Chloe Hildebrand helped adding 18 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists. At the losing side Canadian guard Haille Nickerson (170, college: Memorial) responded with a double-double by scoring 18 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists and Rhiannon Gallagher scored 16 points. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Warriors' coach rotated eleven players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Jets moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Penrith P. and Inner WB. Loser Warriors keep the fourth position with ten games lost. They share it with McKinnon C. and Kalamunda ES. Jets will meet Camberwell (#8) in the next round. Warriors will play against Cougars (#4) in McKinnon and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
