Very predictable result in Seaford where fifth ranked Frankston Blues (13-6) beat 12th ranked Lady Cobras (8-11) 69-63 on Sunday. However just six-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. Frankston Blues forced 19 Lady Cobras turnovers. It was a great evening for forward Louise Brown (189-1995, college: Tennessee) who led her team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 15 rebounds. Chelsea Angelo helped adding 20 points, 5 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals. Four Frankston Blues players scored in double figures. At the losing side American forward Alisia Jenkins (186-1994, college: S.Florida) responded with 28 points and 8 rebounds and Nikita Young scored 10 points and 5 rebounds. Frankston Blues maintains fifth place with 13-6 record. Loser Lady Cobras keep the twelfth position with 11 games lost. They share it with Nunawading S. and Launceston T.. Frankston Blues will meet Spectres (#13) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Lady Cobras will play against Wildcats and hope to secure a win.
